Promises Written By Silence

Her opinion never mattered.....

But the other one? Got trapped in a situation she never even imagined.

👑 NAIR KINGDOM

The kingdom looked beautiful from outside.

Too beautiful.

Golden lights decorated the palace walls. The fountains shimmered beneath the moonlight while servants rushed through the corridors carrying silks, flowers, jewels and royal invitations.

Everything looked grand.

Perfect.

Like a dream.

But inside one chamber—

someone was silently breaking.

✨ Lakshita’s POV

Why am I being dragged into this…?

What’s happening…?

Not even a month has passed since everything changed—

and now this?

I stood near the balcony, gripping the railing tightly.

The cold wind touched my face, but it did nothing to calm the storm inside me.

Behind me—

the room looked like a bridal fantasy.

Heavy lehengas were spread across the bed carefully.

Jewelry sparkled beneath candlelight.

Perfumes.

Veils.

Gold embroidery.

Everything looked beautiful enough to make any girl happy.

But me?

I felt trapped.

Like these walls were slowly closing around me.

A maid walked toward me carefully.

“Rajkumari, Maharani sahiba ne kaha hai ki aap yeh lehenga ek baar try kar lijiye…”

I looked at the red fabric silently.

So beautiful.

Yet it felt like chains.

“I’ll do it later,” I said softly.

The maid hesitated before leaving.

And once again—

silence returned.

Heavy.

Uncomfortable.

I slowly walked toward the dressing table.

And then—

my eyes landed on it.

The wedding invitation.

My fingers trembled slightly as I picked it up.

Gold ink.

Royal seals.

My name written so beautifully—

as if this marriage was something worth celebrating.

As if this was my choice.

I stared at the words silently.

✨ Rajkumari Lakshita Nair

with

✨ Yuvraj Arjun Aryavansh

The letters blurred for a second.

Not because I couldn’t read them—

but because my eyes burned.

Kaash kisi ne mujhse bhi poocha hota…

A tear rolled down silently.

I quickly wiped it away.

No.

I wasn’t allowed to cry anymore.

Not here.

Not now.

My gaze slowly shifted toward the mirror.

The girl standing there looked royal.

Elegant.

Perfect.

But inside—

she was terrified.

And the worst part?

No one noticed.

Or maybe—

no one cared.

✨ Back Here…

Krittika was pacing inside her chamber restlessly.

Her thoughts refused to slow down.

Too many things were happening too quickly.

The book.

The palace.

Vihaan.

The strange connection.

Nothing made sense anymore.

She opened the almirah hurriedly, searching for something— anything that could help her think clearly.

But then—

her movements stopped.

Her eyes landed on the object in her hand.

The wedding invitation.

Lakshita’s wedding card.

For a second—

everything around her went silent.

Her heartbeat slowed.

Then quickened again.

Her gaze immediately dropped to the date.

And the moment she read it—

her breath hitched.

One week later.

“No way…”

she whispered.

Only one week?

That meant—

they were running out of time.

If they failed to understand what was happening before that—

everything could go wrong.

Very wrong.

Krittika stepped back slowly.

Her mind racing faster than ever.

If the princesses are really trapped in our world… then they must know something too…

Her breathing became uneven.

Aur agar unhone pehle hi kuch discover kar liya tha?

Her eyes widened slightly.

The book.

Everything connected back to that book.

Chronicles of the Bound Time.

“That book isn’t normal…” she whispered.

“It can’t be.”

She began pacing again.

Fast.

Restless.

Trying to connect every tiny detail.

Every moment.

Every strange reaction.

Then suddenly—

another thought struck her.

What if Lakshita knew something before this happened…?

What if she tried warning someone?

Aur agar bahut der ho gayi ho to…?

Krittika looked toward the wall blankly.

Fear slowly settled inside her chest.

Not fear for herself.

But for all of them.

Because now—

this wasn’t just confusing anymore.

It was dangerous.

Six lives were involved.

And if she made one wrong decision—

everything could collapse.

She closed her eyes tightly.

Trying to breathe.

Trying to think.

But somewhere deep inside—

a terrible feeling was growing.

Something bigger had already started.

And maybe—

they were already too late.

👑 Chauhan Palace

The palace corridors were silent tonight.

Almost hauntingly silent.

Inside his chamber—

sat Yuvraj Vihaan Chauhan.

Alone.

For once—

without strategies.

Without guards.

Without questions.

Only thoughts.

And somehow—

every single one of them led back to her.

Krittika.

The small portrait lay on the table before him.

He stared at it quietly.

Not with suspicion.

Not with calculation.

Something else.

Something far more dangerous.

His fingers brushed lightly against the edge of the picture.

And for the first time in years—

his own emotions confused him.

A strange warmth settled painfully inside his chest.

Soft.

Unwanted.

Unfamiliar.

His jaw tightened slightly.

"What are you doing to me…”

he whispered quietly.

The words disappeared into the silence.

He finally kept the portrait aside and walked toward the balcony.

Cold wind hit his face instantly.

The sky above was dark.

Endless.

But his mind was louder than the storm itself.

Questions.

Conflicts.

Doubts.

And one unbearable truth.

She isn’t mine this time.

The thought hurt more than it should have.

And he hated that.

His hands clenched slightly behind his back.

Then—

another thought appeared.

Darker.

Possessive.

Dangerous.

A faint smile touched his lips.

But she can’t be anyone else’s either.

The wind outside grew harsh.

As if the night itself heard him.

And somewhere far away—

fate had already begun moving its pieces.

Without asking any of them.

Because now—

this story wasn’t only about returning home anymore.

It was becoming a war between destiny…

truth…

and hearts that were never supposed to meet.
